A Word About Life and Things

At Your Word

Our words are the most powerful thing that we have. We have the power of life and death in our tongues. We can speak life or death into our own souls, into our spouses, and into our kids by what we say. The tongue is a very powerful weapon for good or evil. We have what we say we have and God cannot bless us if we are speaking against the things that He wants to give us.

When the people of Israel did not want to go into the promised land because it looked hard to do and they complained, the Lord said in Numbers 14:28 “say to them, “As I live,' says the LORD, `just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you:” We have what we say that we have.

When Jesus said to Peter in Luke 5:4 ….. He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch."
5 But Simon answered and said to Him, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net." Peter trusted the word that Jesus said.

When we trust God we will not speak against His Word. Some people will argue about what is said in the word of God. God did not mean that or this or whatever. We need to take what the Bible says as if God is speaking to us today and He is speaking to us and wondering if we will trust Him or not. At my word, we will trust our God.
