Gifts and Talents

          What do you see? We have to see the promise, in order to receive it. Ten of the spies that went into the promise land saw themselves as grasshoppers, in their own sight. They could not see the blessings that God wanted to give them. We cannot have the things of God, if we cannot see them. If you are believing God for a new car, buy a model of that car, so you can see it. If you are believing God for a new house, make a model of that new house, or a picture, and set it before you, so you can see it everyday. If you are trusting God for your children to turn back to God, set a picture of them, with the promise of God written below it. If you are believing God for a spouse, then buy a picture frame, for the picture of your wedding. If you are believing God for a baby, then buy a crib, and make a room for that baby. We have to see the promise, before we can have it. We need to see it in our mind’s eye, or a physical picture of it. Then we can remind God every day, of that promise. For many years I built custom furniture for clients. I could see the finished furniture done, in my mind’s eye. But, I had to make a blueprint, for the customer to see. People cannot see what’s inside of us, but we can see what God is going to do in us and for us.

      When we are believing God for anything, we must not vacillate from one thing to another. Many people change their minds every day. One day they want one thing, and the next day they want something else. Many people change their minds, many times in one day. They are unstable in their ways. We cannot receive anything from God, when we change our minds on a whim.

      When we are asking God for anything we stick to it every day. We need to be like the widow who went before the the Judge, who did not fear God nor regarded man. She asked for justice from her adversary. The Judge did not help her. She went back to that Judge every day and finally the Judge was wearied because of her coming every day he decided to avenge her. We need to be more like a child. When they ask for any thing they specify exactly what they want. When we keep our petitions before the Lord, we will finally see the things we are asking for.
