Gifts and Talents

         We have a Mission in life that is Impossible to do. God told us to be perfect. How can we do that? Moses said to not murder, but Jesus said if you call someone a fool, you have murdered them already. Moses said you shall not commit adultery, but Jesus said If you look at a woman with impure thoughts, you’ve already done it.

      The Law is concerned with action. Jesus is concerned with the heart. The New Covenant requires a higher level of Holiness than the Old Covenant. Jesus came to fulfill the law, and not abolish it. Jesus is telling us to come up to a higher level. God does not lower His standards to accommodate us. We need to raise our standards to His.

      How can we live up to God’s standard in our lives? We cannot, but with Jesus in us we can raise our standards up to His standards. Without Jesus we can do nothing, but with Him we can do all things. It is not impossible to live like God wants us to. We put our trust in Jesus. Jesus has the answer to everything that we need. God is calling us to a higher level. He is asking us to do the impossible. We can ask for the Nations, and He will give them to us. We can acquire perfection in our lives with Jesus. When we put our trust in Jesus, we have fulfilled our Impossible Mission.
