Gifts and Talents

          There is a very, very wide road. There are very many people on that road. That road is easy to find. The people on that road do not know where it leads. If they knew where it will lead them, they would get off that road. But, there are many people on that road who would not get off the road, no matter where it leads. It is a road where people can do what they want. They can party all night, drink to excess, have fun with the other sex, and have sex with anyone.

     People will listen to everything the enemy will tell us. The enemy says there is no God. You can do anything you want. There is no judgement day. There is no one to hold us accountable for the things we do. We can kill, cheat, steal, and take what some other person has. That very wide road leads to death and destruction for our soul.

      There is a very, very narrow road. That road has blessings, provision, and goodness. There are no sorrows, no overhangs, only the goodness of God. We will have problems and sickness, but our God is with us. He will lift us up. Those on the wide road have no one to help them. But, we have the Maker of the Universe as our refuge, a very present help, in the time of trouble.

      Our God has given us everything we have. He gave us our breath. He gave us life. He gave us salvation. He gave us our spouse. He gave us our children. He gave us our jobs. He gave us our house and our car. There is nothing we have that God did not give us. We need to give Him all of our praise and our thanksgiving for the things He has done. The narrow road leads us to Heaven and is the best road, for we find life and the goodness of God, on that road.
