God Has Our Six
As Christians we are clothed with armor that
includes, the Helmet of Salvation, the Shield of
Faith, the Breastplate of Righteousness, the Belt of
Truth, and the Sword to the Spirit. You will notice
that we have no armor to cover our back side. We are
to face our enemies, and not turn our backs on them.
We were meant to always go forward, and not to
retreat.
We cannot have someones back if we are gossiping about them. Many people talk about their Pastor after Church. They will also talk about anyone and everyone. They have nothing good to say about anyone. David was anointed to be King of Israel. He never said a bad word about King Saul. King Saul tried many times to kill David, and David had many chances to harm King Saul. But David would not touch King Saul, because he was Gods anointed. We need to be more like David. We need to treat our Pastors and Teachers with respect, because they are also Gods anointed. We cannot have their back, if we are talking about them. If we are under Gods will for our lives, then we will have the back of every one around us. They all need our help. It is what we are all called to do; To lift up those around us; To show everyone that we are a child of God, and we love those who are around us. Our Six is a military term that means our back. We are not alone in our battle with the enemy. We fight the battles with our armor and with God that has our six. Our God is a very present help, in the time of trouble. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies. We have the back of those who are around us, and our Pastors, and everyone else in authority around us. We have their Six, and God has ours. New King James Version Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is your refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, And will say, `Destroy!' New King James Version 2 Samuel 22:3 The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence. 4 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies. New King James Version Psalms 9:9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. New King James Version - Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. |
