Wanted! Dead or Alive!
Because the first man, Adam, sinned, we are all born
into sin. Everyone is a sinner from our birth. When
we sin we are dead to God. Sin itself brings death.
Everyone is dead, but we are not yet buried. Burial
comes after we are physically dead (Hell).
But, we can have life through the Son of God, Jesus. When we give our lives over to Jesus, He gives those who were once dead, Life. We live through Jesus Christ. But now we are dead for another reason. We are dead to ourselves. We place our hopes and dreams to our Lord and God. We do His will. We give everything we have over to God. We lay down our lives, to serve the Lord of the universe. We do it willingly, because of our love for Him. It is a privilege to serve the Lord. We are born again. He gives us a new life; a better life. When Jesus comes back to earth the second time, everyone who is dead in the lord, will be raised from the dead and given a new body. There is no more death, we will live with Him forever; through out all of eternity. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– New King James Version Matthew 22:32 `I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living." New King James Version John 5:25 "Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. 26 "For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, 27 "and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. 28 "Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 "and come forth--those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. New King James Version Romans 6:1 ¶ What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? New King James Version 1 Corinthians 15:20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21* For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. New King James Version 1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed-- 52* in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53* For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54* So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." 55* "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?" 56* The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57* But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
