A Word About Life and Things

A Whisper

          There was a young lady who was in college. She felt something inside her, that she should invite another student, a boy, to her church. She felt that prompting every day, but she did not do it. During the last week of college she finally invited that boy to church. A few years later she found her husband at church, and married him. A few years later her husband and she were leaving church and she saw that young man that she had invited to church, many years ago. He was a usher at their church. She greeted him and her husband gave him a big hug also. After leaving the church the lady asked her husband why he had greeted that young man with a hug. Her husband said that he was the one that had invited him to church many years ago. She had invited her husband to church, through that young man in college many years ago. She had listened to God’s whisper, and got her husband, through her obedience to God’s whisper.

      God does not talk to us with an audible voice. We do not hear Him with our physical ears. God whisper’s to us, is in our spirit. It’s not a voice that we hear, it’s a feeling we feel in our spirit.

      The spirit realm is more real than the physical realm, that we live in. The spirit realm is more vast than anything we can see with our physical eyes. God lives in the spirit realm. He whispers to us in the spiritual realm. We communicate with Him in the spiritual realm. We worship Him in the spiritual realm. We honor Him in the spiritual realm. Everything we do with God is in the spiritual realm.

      God is three Persons in One. He is the Father. The Father made every living thing. He gives us life. He gives us breath. He gives us everything we have. All good gifts come from Him. Jesus is the Son. He died for us, so we can live with Him throughout eternity. He is our advocate with the Father. The Holy Spirit is the One who leads us in the way we need to go. He also is the One that speaks to us, with a whisper. He is the One who draws us to Jesus. We hear Him in our spirit.

      God does not shout at us; He invites us to where He is, with a whisper. Our God is a gentle God. He says whosoever will, may come, with a whisper. We are not in tune with God, when we chase after the things of this world. We only hear Him when we stop and turn ourselves from the things in this world, and seek after the things that God has for us. Then, and only then. will we hear God’s whisper to us. A gentle voice, a whisper that says “come to where I AM.”

      New King James Version
1 Kings 19:9 Ά And there he went into a cave, and spent the night in that place; and behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and He said to him, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"
 10 So he said, "I have been very zealous for the LORD God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life."
 11 Then He said, "Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD." And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake;
 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.
