God’s Plan For You
In the 1800’s a 17 year old girl was sent from
Norway to America by her family. The family was very
poor and could only send one person. They sent her
with high hopes that she would get a good education
and help support the family, and help all of the
family to come over also. After the long ship ride
and a bus ride, she finally got to Chicago. She did
not speak the language and was all alone. She had no
money and no place to stay. She walked around the
block and saw a porch light on. She knocked on the
door and asked if she could stay the night or two.
The family graciously said it was alright and took
her in. The next day she saw this charity that took
in babies with no mothers. She was drawn to it. She
went in and they hired her. She worked there for
many years. She eventually got married and had a
daughter. The daughter would come to the charity and
help take care of the babies also. She was also able
to help her family to come over.
Fast forward 150 years, a pastor had a church in downtown Chicago and they were outgrowing their church building and were looking for a place to build another church that was also in the downtown area. They looked and finally found a 1 acre of land next to an United Arena for basketball. Against all odds the City of Chicago finally sold them the property. The first new church to be built in downtown Chicago in 50 years. The Pastor was so excited, but before he told the church that they had the property, he wanted to take his grandmother by the property. When they pulled up to the property she started weeping and weeping. She said that this is the same property that your great, great grandmother worked in the babie’s home. This is where I came as her granddaughter to work in the babie’s home also. Before you were on this earth God had a plan for your life. God does not just think about tomorrow; He thinks about 100’s, if not 1000’s of years, ahead. He has a plan for you, about everything and everyone that is going to happen, in your life. God told Jeremiah that He knew him before he was in the womb. God knows everything about us. There is nothing that He does not know. Ha has a plan for our life. It is up to us to find out what that plan is and to do it. We will not be happy or fulfilled in life without His plan for us. Only after we find Him, does our life start. We cannot be fulfilled without His plans for our life. God is never wrong about us or about His plans for us. He is the Master Architect. God knows our future, He knows all of our mistakes. He knows everything we will go through. There is nothing that He does not know. We just trust Him, because He knows what will happen tomorrow, and He already has a plan for it. God knows our future. –––––––––––––––––––––––––––– The Living Bible Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
