A Word About Life and Things

RSVP

RSVP is the abbreviation for the French (rιpondez s’il vous plaξt) which means, Please Respond or Please Reply. When someone is having a party, or a wedding they will send out letters of invitation to the the ones who are invited to the event. They include the Please Reply at the bottom of the invitation so they know how many people to expect to the event. The number of people attending the event is needed to plan for the food and drinks needed. There are many people who do not respond to the invitation. Your regrets or acceptance of the invitation is needed, for the planning of the event.

God has given an invitation to anyone and everyone. No one has been left out.  He has invited us all, to live with Him through all of eternity. He is waiting for our response to His invitation. God has prepared a place for everyone who accepts His invitation, but we need RSVP to his invitation.

God formed us. He breathed life into us. He gave us our gifts and talents. He gave us everything that we have. He also gave us a spirit that will never die. Now He is asking us to spend our lives with Him in eternity. God has set before us life and death. Then He says to choose life. We are all welcome into His house. But there is one exception, We need to come to Him, the way He said to come. When Adam sinned, he brought sin into this world. We are all born into sin. God cannot allow sin into Heaven. God gave us Jesus, His Son, to die in our place. Jesus took our sins upon Himself, when He died for us. Now when we give our lives over to Jesus, we are now acceptable to God, because when He sees us, He sees Jesus. We are now acceptable to God and are welcome into His House (Heaven).

Many people think they will go to Heaven when they die. They think that if they are good enough that God will let them into Heaven. That is not so. God is not the One who decides if we will go to Heaven or not. We are the ones that decide to go to Heaven, by accepting Jesus as our savior. If we do not make a decision to accept Jesus as our savior, then we will not make it into Heaven. There are not many ways into Heaven, there is only one way, through Jesus. Please respond to God’s invitation, and accept Jesus as your savior. God is not willing that anyone will die a spiritual death (Hell). He wants to see you in Heaven.
