A Word About Life and Things

The Trinity

There are a lot of people who do not know God. Quite a few people know there is a God, the Father. They know that He created all living things; that is why He is called the Father. As mentioned last week, He is the Giver of life. He made everything we can see, touch, taste, smell and hear. He made the stars and all of the galaxies that have many stars in them. When I was growing up, the scientists said there were about 400 hundred thousand galaxies with 400 hundred thousand stars in them. Now they think there are 400 hundred million galaxies with 400 million stars in them. We serve a Big God.

There are a lot people who know there is God, the Son, Jesus. He is our Redeemer. But many people do not accept Him as their Redeemer. There is only one Redeemer, and that is Jesus. He is the Son of God. He came to earth and died for our sins. There are many beliefs in the earth today, but Jesus is God, He gave up His throne, and came to earth to be a sacrifice for us. There is no other way into Heaven except through Jesus.

There is God; the Holy Spirit, also known as God; the Holy Ghost. There are very few people who know the Holy Spirit, and know the reason He is needed. Jesus called Him the Comforter. He is also our Guide and Helper in this life on earth. When we feel that God is talking to us deep inside our spirit, that is the Holy Spirit talking to us. He leads us and warns us when there is trouble ahead. He, also, is the One who prompts us to help others. Many people deride the speaking in tongues. But the speaking in tongues is an outward sign of receiving the Holy Spirit into our lives. When we pray in tongues, we are speaking a heavenly language. The Holy Spirit knows our needs and prays for us in that heavenly language.

When we feel like we need Jesus in our lives, that is the Holy Spirit who is drawing us to the Lord. He is the One who convicts us and prompts us to give our lives to Jesus. There will come a day when the anti-christ (the beast) will ascend to his throne and the Holy Spirit will be withdrawn from the earth. The anti-christ will demand that everyone will have a mark of the beast. When receiving the mark of the beast, there is no redemption for their soul. No one can buy or sell anything without the mark on their hand or forehead. The only way to be saved at that time, is to pay with your life, by not accepting the mark of the beast.

The Holy Spirit has a lot of work to do for us. Here is a list of His responsibilities. The Holy Spirit intercedes through us on earth. The Holy Spirit calls and qualifies ministers for their work. It is the Holy Spirit who makes them overseas, over the flock. He hears, speaks, teaches, and guides us into all truth. He glorifies Christ, and receives from Christ, shows us Christ, and brings all of Christ’s words to our remembrance. It is better for us that Jesus left, so He could come. He shows us things to come. He knows the deep things of God, searches all things, and reveals all things. Where He is, there is liberty. The writers of the Bible spoke as they were moved by Him. We are warned not  to grieve Him or Quench Him. To sin against Him is unpardonable, because sin against Him is against the only One who can reveal the Son to us. Unless a man is born of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. We are convicted by Him, born again by Him, led by Him, filled with Him, and sealed by Him.

The word Trinity is not in the Bible. The word refers to the three personalities that make up God. Our God is The Father, and God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is three Persons in One. We need all three personalities that is our God. We need the Father that give us life, we need the Son that gives us salvation, and we need the Holy Spirit that gives us Comfort, and guidance. The more we get of each of them the better off we will be.
