Gifts and Talents

           There are many distractions in the world today. We listen to the talking heads on television and the radio. There are many conspiracy theories that people are pushing our way. We listen to the radio every day. We soak up all the stuff that people are saying. We become mad and want answers from our politicians. We are upset and can’t sleep at night. There are many distractions that come against us every day. We play with things like Ouija boards, tarot cards, palm reading, dream catchers, astrological signs, mediums and witchcraft and think nothing about it. We look in the news paper for our horoscope and numerology signs. We are distracted by these things and many others.

      We look to the stars for our future. We need to look for the Maker of the stars. He has all of the answers we need. When we play around with tarot cards, and horoscopes and many other things we are opening ourselves up to our enemy, Satan. If it is not from God, then it is from the Devil. There are times when we need to turn off the television and radios, to seek after our God.

      We have a God that loves us and wants the best for us. He is the answer for our every need. We have many distractions all around us. Some distractions are good some are bad. But even the good ones can keep us from God. If we want peace in our lives, we need Jesus. There are not many ways into Heaven; there is only one way to heaven; and that is Jesus. Once we accept Jesus as our savior, we will have peace and contentment and no distractions.

19 And when they say to you, "Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter," should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living?
20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
21 They will pass through it hard pressed and hungry; and it shall happen, when they are hungry, that they will be enraged and curse their king and their God, and look upward.
22 Then they will look to the earth, and see trouble and darkness, gloom of anguish; and they will be driven into darkness.
