Overflowing Blessings
There was a missionary in Botswana, who was
struggling to feed the orphans, and to help the
children in that area. He wanted to build a youth
center for the kids, to have a place that the
children can come to, to have fun, learn and to make
friends. It was going to cost 5 million dollars.
That is a lot of money, but over there, where the
annual income was less than $1,000, it seemed
impossible. There was an older German man and his
wife, that had visited Botswana, and had fallen in
love with the people of Botswana. He looked up, on
his computer for orphanages in Botswana and came
across this Missionary’s ministry. He sent a
donation of $20,000. Later on he sent the missionary
a check for $300,000. Later on the German man asked
about the youth center, and sent him a check for
$5,000,000. He said he was coming to visit them.
The German man and his wife stayed at a nice Safari resort, about 15 miles from the Missionary’s residence. One morning the Missionary drove to the resort to pick up the German man and his wife. The owner of the resort said to the Missionary that the resort was for sale, and asked if he was interested in purchasing it. The Missionary said that he was just a missionary and he could not afford it. The German man overheard the conversation and asked the Missionary to find out how much it would cost to purchase the resort. He got the information, and thought the man was going to buy it for himself. The German man bought the resort and gave it to the Missionary. Talk about Overflowing Blessings. We are blessed by our God in the things we do. But there are times that we receive an Overflowing Blessings. Jesus told Peter to throw his nets to the other side and pulled in so many fish that his nets almost broke, and filled two boats with fish. Our God wants to bless His children more than we can imagine. God is not waiting around to punish anyone. Many people have the wrong concept of who God is. He very much wants to bless us, He is waiting to bless us. We love our Kids and would give them everything they want. We love to bless our kids, especially our grandkids. God is even more so. He wants to bless us, because we are His Kids. We wants to shower us with His blessings. When Job went through the troubles, God gave him back double, than what he had before. When we go through the times of testings, God also gives us back double, than we had before. There are times when He gives us an Overflowing Blessing. Especially when we are doing His work. He blesses the things He asks us to do. ––––––––––––––––––––––– New King James Version Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. |
