A Word About Life and Things

God’s Way

In 1969 Frank Sinatra sang the song ‘I Did It My Way.’ Frank did not like the song. He thought the song was self-serving and self-indulgent. But he was stuck to it, because it was a big hit. A lot of people are doing it 'their way’ in everything they do. They say things like “my way or the highway.” They are doing what they want to do. They do not care what other people want, as long as they get their way. We live in selfish world. Selfishness is not taught, it is what we were born to do. From our birth we are born sinners. Adam and Eve sinned in the garden, because they sinned, we are now sinners from our birth.

When Lucifer was in heaven, he was the worship leader, but then he wanted to be worshiped himself. He was cast out of heaven. Then God created mankind, and we were made to worship Him. God will not force mankind to do anything, He wants us to choose to worship Him, out of our freewill. We all have a hole in our souls to worship something or someone. Many people will worship themselves or the things they have. That hole will be filled with something or with God. We have to decide for our selves what or whom we are going to serve.

The only way we can worship God is to become a child of God. The first thing we do is to be born again. That means we ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins. We ask Jesus to come into our hearts. We acknowledge that He died for our sins, and that He rose again, and He is alive forever more. Then and only then we can worship the Father, because we have become a child of God. We can sing a new song ‘I Did It God’s Way.’ That is the only way to the Father. That hole in our soul is filled with the love of God.
