Gifts and Talents

       When God created Adam and Eve He gave them dominion over everything on the Earth; all of the animals, fish, birds, and every living thing on the Earth. The definition of dominion is ‘sovereignty or control.’ When Adam sinned he gave up his dominion of the Earth to Satan. Satan has been in control since then.

      When Jesus came to Earth and died for our sins, He took the keys of death and the grave. Satan is still the prince and power of the air, but we, as children of God have accepted Jesus as our savior. We now have dominion over everything around us. We have the authority of Jesus. Everything that Jesus did, we can do. We do not ask God for our healing, we take dominion over that sickness and say that we are healed ‘in the name of Jesus.’ We do not do anything in our own name, we do it in His name. We have the authority over the enemy, ‘in Jesus’ name.’ We extend the Kingdom of God ‘in the name of Jesus.’ We can take authority over our house, over our neighborhood, over the sickness in our body, we have Dominion, ‘in the name of Jesus.’

      Sometimes we have to fight a battle with the enemy and wear him out with our belief in Jesus. There was a lady that the Doctor’s said had liver cancer. Her healing did not come immediately, but over time, she stood her ground and confessed that Jesus is Lord, and she was healed. We stand our ground against the enemy and we overcome, we have Dominion, ‘in the name of Jesus.’
