A Word About Life and Things

No Accident

There are no accidents with the Lord. Our God is very precise in everything He does. He made us and he knew us and planned our lives before we were born. God knew us before we were in the womb. There is nothing about us that God does not know. Some of us spend our lives wishing we could change this or that about ourselves. We miss out on a lot that God wants to do for us because we are looking for something different or better in our lives.

A young lady was going to meet her fianc้’s parents for the first time. They were known as picky people and not very easily impressed. She was nervous about it, but she made sure her clothes were pressed and that she looked the very best that she could. On the way out the door, she knocked over a can of soda and it got on her shoes and pant leg. She did not have time to change so she wiped it off the best she could and went on her way. At her fianc้’s parents’ house, she met the parents and they sat and talked for a while. They had a little dog for many years. Then for some time, this little dog lay at this young ladies’ feet. Then the dog followed the young lady around the house and never left her side. For two hours the dog was her best friend. The lady of the house said to the young lady that they had had many people at the house and you are the only one this dog has ever taken to. She did not realize the dog liked the smell of soda.

Sometimes we have an accident, such as a spilled can of soda and we are upset about it. When maybe God is directing our path to help us in our time of need. There are no accidents with God. We pray for this or that to happen and when it does we think that it was a coincidence and don’t give God His due for helping us. When we ask God for help it is not an accident when we get our prayers answered. You are not an accident. You are a child of God and He will take care of you.
