A Word About Life and Things

Fire and Water

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego were three young Jewish men serving King Nebuchadnezzar. The King commanded everyone to bow down before his image. The three young men would not bow down and told the King that their God would deliver them from the fiery furnace, but if their God did not deliver them they would still not bow down. The King had them thrown into the fire,  and now he saw four men in the fire. When the three men came out the only thing that was burned were the ropes that bound them.

No one is exempt from the troubles in life. Even the rich are not without troubles. There is sickness, marriage problems, our children rebelling, money troubles, work problems, accidents, and many other problems that come our way. God never told us that there would never be any problems in our Christian walk with Him. In fact, He said there will be things that will come against us. He said that when those things come that He will be with us in the problems. He said that when we go through the fire we will not be burned. And when we go through the water they do not overflow us. Our God is with us in everything we go through. We are not alone for He will never leave us.

Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.
