A Word About Life and Things

Show Me

I was born and raised in the state of Missouri, USA. Missouri is known as the Show-Me State, as in show me then I will believe. There are a lot of things in this world that we cannot see. Things like electricity, we cannot see but we see the results of it when we turn on a light. The wind we cannot see but we can feel the wind on our face and see it when the trees are moved by it.

We cannot see God but we can see the results when a person’s life is turned around and when we see another person is healed. We also can feel His presence in our lives. There was a man in the Bible named Thomas. When he was told that Jesus was raised from the dead he said “ I will not believe it until I can see the scars in His hands and in his feet and on His side”. I don’t know if he was from Missouri or not.

We humans have this ‘disease’ of doubt and unbelief. Israel did not go into the promised land because of doubts and unbelief. We cannot have what God has for us if we doubt Him.  Everyone goes through hard times and God allows it so that He can see what we will do. Will we trust Him? Will we complain? While going through one of those hard times I asked God “what am I learning” I heard Him say in my spirit “you have learned to trust Me”. Doubt will come but we will put our trust in Him and then He will show us His Glory.

John 20:29 Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
